I’m so excited too! Idk, it just seems like such a great idea, full of potential! Kudos to the creator, i really really like it :D
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That’s such a good idea! :O
I love that, he should totally pick up a Norwegian name because in my head, when she first meets him: she rounds him up, squints her eyes, Hans starts to sweat nervously because he thinks he was found out…but then Anna dismisses the subject and apologies saying that he truly reminded her of someone she lik— knew in the past. A traditional name from her homeland would also smooth the suspicion, but Hans would need to be very careful from that day on.
Regarding his face and possible spell…the reason why i maintained his original features without much concern was because to US he looks really unique due to his character design, BUT to the other characters he must look normal, blend in easily just like any other person. Everybody got exaggerated traits, even more than him.
If you recall anime series, like “Sailor Moon” for instance, it was ridiculous how no one seemed to recognize Usagi (on her case it was even more confusing because her hair color didn’t change, not even her hairdo), but if you make a parallelism with reality that was a normal thing to happen. People look more alike than some would think.
Also, it’s very important to maintain the original characters’s features, because that’s one of the main reasons WHY we like them. To me, changing his nose or even cutting out his sideburns is something really troublesome to do, because we would be altering pieces of his face that are necessary to maintain a balance between all his exaggerated physical traits. Sure, when written you can imagine all you want (and your brain will most probably use a memory with his original character design), but drawn is another story. The spell could be fun…but at the same time it wouldn’t be Hans :/ You would have to endure a whole new character design and tell your brain “that’s the character that you like, it just doesn’t look like him at all and you’ll rarely see him without the incantation”. Of course i could draw another hunky guy, but i prefer to think that in their universe Hans is really gorgeous, yet with such normal proportions that Anna wouldn’t suspect of him at first.
Idk, i feel conflicted about changing him too much.
…UNLESS we go “Ghost Whisperer” on this and he looks just the same to us, but every time he’s reflected in a mirror we see his new face! :D So, that way he would still be Hans, but so very different to everyone else. Of course the scene-where-she-recognizes-his-eyes or the-moment-when-he-falls-in-the-water-and-the-hair-ink-starts-to-wash-off make no sense now, but it’s still a neat idea to have in mind.
Note: Did you receive my fanmail last night about your viking!Hans chapter 3? I think i’m going to give up sending asks and answers through my phone, i suspect many of my messages/answers were eaten and i’m PISSED.
